Honda Continues New Aircraft Development

Some of our readers might be surprised to learn that our favorite Japanese automaker, Honda has been involved in building aircraft since it established the Honda Aircraft Company in 2006. That's right, not only does the company have some of the most impressive new vehicles on the roads; it also is making a name for itself in the sky.

Redesigned Honda Accord Coupe Amazes at Detroit Auto Show

There are many reasons that drivers have fallen in love with the Honda Accord since its U.S. debut in 1982. From its comfortable and roomy interior, intelligent drive, and reliable reputation, there's always been a lot to love about this Honda sedan. That's why Roberts Honda was so excited to see the premier of the 2013 Honda Accord Coupe concept earlier this month at the Detroit Auto show. The Coupe will hit production lines (after a few small tweaks) later this year.

2013 Honda Fit EV Coming Soon!

For months Roberts Honda of Downington, PA heard about eco-smart green car drivers overseas purchasing Honda Fit EV cars and wished these vehicles were available in the U.S. Luckily for us, things are changing. Canada and the U.S. will also soon receive their own Honda Fit EV vehicles. The Honda Fit EV arrived recently at LA Auto Show in production form, and it was later showcased at a media event at Tokyo's Motor Show. Both were a huge success, and assured Honda that the vehicle would have fans of all ages in any market.

With the Japanese yen on an increasingly upward path in terms of value, Honda is considering moving some of its Japanese production to the United States. This move by the company comes shortly after its rival, Toyota Motor Company, announced that it would be shipping U.S.-produced vehicles to South Korea for the first time to avoid damage from the strong yen. Honda already sends the U.S. version of the new Honda Accord to South Korea. Overall, the company sells four other models there: the Honda CR-V, the Honda CR-Z, the Honda Civic, and the Honda Insight. A possible free trade agreement between the U.S. and South Korea is another reason to decrease shipments from Japan.

Honda Says Yes to Artificial Intelligence with Robot ASIMO

Honda is not only constantly at the forefront of automobile innovations; the Motor Company is also working on some very special automation technology. Enter Asimo: a very smart and very mobile new robot. Asimo can run almost six miles an hour, balance itself on uneven surfaces, kick a soccer ball, and pour drinks. It may also have more practical uses.

Growing to its full potential of 200k-unit annual capacity, Honda has hired an additional 1,000 associates. The Indiana plant has consistently earned outstanding merits such as the Platinum Award for quality based on the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Initial Quality Survey - one of the only three automobile plants in the world to do so.
