Car fans and industry types alike have an insatiable appetite for any details or pictures regarding new models. Car manufacturers like Honda know this and enjoy teasing out new models.

Honda started by leaking out images, and what some people claim to be specifications, on the soon to be released 2012 Honda CR-V. Then the cars showed up at the Orange County International Auto Show in Anaheim, CA.  

While no huge changes to the look will be occurring, the new CR-V has some upgrades and adjustments  

"The 2012 CR-V concept strongly hints at the more dynamic and refined look of the upcoming model," said John Mendel, executive sales VP for American Honda.¹

A lot of improvements will be geared towards making the CR-V even more fuel efficient. The car will be lighter, yet more spacious. This, combined with the new engine, will allow the CR-V to gain even better MPGs than previous models.  

The new CR-V is expected to hit dealership showrooms like Roberts Honda in Downingtown, PA by the end of the year. Just because there isn't much changing with next year's variant, that doesn't mean this it will lack any of the greatness previous models had. CR-V has remained popular and a well-selling vehicle since its introduction in 1997. Besides - if it's not broke, why fix it?
